As the club was initially formed under the banner of the fish protection society
(to protect The Bay from over net-fishing)

At The Clubhouse
Last evening, (Tuesday, 11/8/26) we were happy to host The Geelong Recreational Fishing Forum for the Victorian fisheries Authority.
Many thanks to all those who attended, notably the VFA staff led by Dr. Taylor Hunt (who is pictured above with our honorary Member Geoff Wilson- my favourite photo of the event)
Lots of great information was imparted along with AV presentations, as well as a chance to meet new angling friends, chew the fat (as well as a nice spread courtesy of Gail and Renata)
Definitely an enjoyable event!
(And a successful run out for our new AV equipment!)

David was pleased to grab his first "toothy critter" with this 7 Gill Shark pup from Corio Bay.

It swam away happy.
