We are the oldest fishing club in Geelong, Victoria and we believe, Australia, having been formed in 1866.
We boast a long and colourful history.
From the beginner, wishing to learn, through to the experienced as well as those who live for their fishing, our membership includes men, women and family groups
We embrace the occasional angler, those keen to learn more about the sport, those looking for a little social fishing and the keen competition angler, who is served with regular monthly competitions as well as other opportunities to pit their skills against other anglers.
We hold a monthly meeting at our own (owned for over 60 years) clubrooms, located in Geelong West on the 4th Wednesday of each month (December excluded) where club business is discussed, competitions organised, general fishing chat is chatted over and fishing know how is dispensed.
From the occasional fisho to the diehard angler The Geelong & District Anglers Club & Fish Protection Society has something to offer, as well as a warm welcome.
